Ronney has over forty years’ experience in public accounting and Reynolds & Franke, PC is a continuation of the firm he started in 1973.

He has experience in many areas of public accounting, including return preparation, auditing, bookkeeping services, financial statement preparation and business consulting. Because of this experience and wealth of knowledge, he has been extremely helpful to businesses and not-for-profit entities with controller-type issues. For a number of clients, he has served as their contract chief financial officer.

Ronney received his BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.

He served the citizens of Austin as an at-large council member from 1991-1997. While having served on numerous boards, he also took leadership roles as president of the Rotary Club of Austin, the Greater Austin Sports Association and the Austin Longhorn Club. In 2008-2009 he served as the Rotary Governor for District 5870. He has been a lay reader and chalice bearer at St. David's Episcopal Church since 1973.

Ronney has received numerous awards during his career, both business and personal, including the Rotary Club of Austin Service to Austin Award, the City of Austin Childcare Council-Community Service Award, and the Texas Public Power Association-Jack Miller Public Service Award. Most recently, the Board of Directors of Rotary International selected Ronney as a 2012-2013 recipient of its highest individual award, the Service Above Self Award, given by Rotary International to Rotarians who have rendered exemplary humanitarian service with an emphasis on personal volunteer efforts.

Despite his many accolades, he is most proud of his Family, wife, Mary Reynolds, his beloved partner for the past 50 years, their two grown children, Bo and wife Carole, and Nancy Michelle, and their grandsons, Bo Henry and Jacob.
